Butterflies of Healing Are Soaring
Fly away, all my cares, fly away.
Fly away, all my sorrows of the past, fly away.
Fly away, and leave me to live for today.
This reunion, we added “healing” to the program because of the recent revelations and calls-for-action regarding pedophilia by Jack Moyer, a teacher and consultant affiliated with ASIJ from 1963-2000.
Reunion attendees were invited to take home origami butterflies, folded with love to honor and remember all who were victimized at ASIJ. Each butterfly had a positive word attached to it. The butterflies are now finding new homes throughout the world as a reminder that we are thinking of and praying for all who are in pain and suffering. (Thank you, Lisa, for all your origami hard work!)
